It was my niece's birthday on Saturday. So we decided to give her a bird house to decorate her room. I found the bird house at Provincial Home Living and decided to brighten it up with birds from the Rasberry scrapbooking paper collection.
i hung ribbon (approximately 4 strands) from the middle of the bird house.
i then pegged birds to the ribbon and placed chiffon on the bottom of the cage to add some dimension and interest.
below is an example of the bird shape that I cut.
i have been terribly busy so have not had the opportunity to blog which has been a bit frustrating as i have loads of unnecessary things to say....
but i have been busy making a few bits and pieces...try this project ...not only is it cute as ...it is also really simple...
simple but pretty in pink...its a cute little box with gift tags inside...
You know I love stationary ..... in a big way...I really love stylish notebooks especially a nice little A6 size - fits nicely in a handbag..
Recently I purchased a little notebook but thought I would personalise it with some of our new papers. This is perfect for gifts also.....make one for yourself ..i have written some basic instructions below
1/ find boring notebook.....it helps to get one with a strong cover and I decided to use a spiral bound notebook [if you are using spiral bound book - use "wiro-o"]
2/ select paper.....
3/ slowly and very carefully separate the join of the spiral binding
4/ again very carefully remove the covers of the notebook..
5/ cover the notebooks with your favourite paper and then use a spray sealant to seal the paper [this protects it] -
6/ carefully re-assemble notebook by placing cover back through the spiral binding and then join the binding back together
7/ use rub ons, rhinestones, ribbon or other embellishments to personalise the cover [i decided not to embellish mine further]
there you have it - a stylish little book and these make perfect gifts
Well I thought I would do another teaser and show you fun things that I have been making using some of our new papers and embellishments. Yes its not very nice to keep teasing you like this.....
To make these tags I used 8x8 papers from the Rasberry Vintage collection, Rub Ons from the Vintage Love Rub On sheet, chipboard shapes from our Chipboard collection and ribbon ....yes we have ribbon ...its on its way.....
in the next day or so i will be releasing our vintage collection of papers & embellishments - it really is a play on vintage and there are 25 different paper designs to explore through your creative projects.
all the papers come in 8x8 paper and we also have coordinated rubons, ribbon, gem brads and rhinestone stickers [a hint of bling]
i made some cute little cards with these papers....

Hi everyone
We've found a way to make cards fun and interesting. Pinwheels are cute and give a card great dimension. They're easy to make so kids can get involved (with supervision of course). These cards would be a great mother's day gift especially made from the kids. Check out our creations and how-to below.
You will need:
Rasberry 8” x 8” Venice
brad
Large pin
Blank cards
Icy pole stick
Ruler
Pencil
Scissors
glue
Cut 2 coordinating papers into a square 4” x 4” and attach together.
Fold the square corner to corner to mark the centre then unfold.
With a pencil make a mark approx 1/3 from centre and cut along folded lines to the pencil mark.
Bring every other point to the centre and place a pin through all points. With the pin make a hole big enough to replace with a brad.
Cover the front of a card with patterned paper or leave plain.
Glue icy pole stick to the card and attach pinwheel to top of icy pole stick.
You may like to use flowers, ribbon, rub ons etc to decorate your pinwheel card.

The various love heart shapes covered in patterned paper are frm our chipboard shapes - you get 4 in a pack.
i love it.....you could frame each page and hang the frames up side-by-side for a really great effect.

I have been very busy making fun things with our latest release: STARBURST......[p.s.s catalog of Starburst papers & embellishments will be up on the blog tomorrow.
Firstly envelopes - yes its has been rather fun creating my own designer envelopes...click on the image to download my project sheet.
I didn't just stop at envelopes - I decided to make some party invites, treat bags and birthday cards..........i'll get the project sheet up for this tomorrow.

I have finally scanned the angel shape template so here it is...apologies that it has taken so long....you can increase or decrease the size of the angel shape by printing this template out and photocopying it.
I used a smaller angel for my gift wrapping.
I mounted the paper copy of my angel shape on cardboard to give me an easier template to work with [a bit more stable then paper]. Trace template onto the back of desired paper and then cut out using scissors. To link the angels together to form the chain, I put eyelets [hole punch will also do the trick] towards the top of each wing and then thread twine through each eyelet.
